Jemma Clutton is a Chartered Forensic Psychologist and a Registered Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council. She is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.
Jemma has worked at CCATS since 2017. She is the Service Lead for Children’s Residential Care. Jemma acts as a consultant to those new to setting up Residential Care Services, and assists with the development of therapeutic models of care bespoke to the needs of the home. Jemma supports existing Residential Providers in establishing a therapeutic home and provides training, reflective practise, and clinical input to the teams and young people.
Within her role at CCATS she also completes psychological and cognitive assessments for family court and social care. She also delivers individual intervention as directed. Interventions include EMDR, DBT, ACT, and the Life Minus Violence programme. Jemma is also involved in training development and delivery.
Prior to working at CCATS, Jemma worked for HM Prison Service for over sixteen years. She was employed for four years as the North West Regional Prison Lead Psychologist for Sexual Offenders. Within this role she was a National trainer for accredited treatment programme delivery and was also involved in national policy and decision making.
Throughout her career Jemma has been involved in psychological assessment and intervention with sexual and violent offenders. She has vast experience in delivering both individual and group intervention with forensic clients. Jemma also has much experience of providing written and oral evidence at Parole Board hearings.
Jemma also completes independent expert witness reports for both family and criminal court.
