Brenda Wignall

Brenda Wignall (MBACP BA, Hons in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy) is a psychological therapist at CCATS and a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Brenda works from a person-centred background and incorporates different techniques into her therapeutic work to achieve a tailored approach to best suit her client’s needs. These techniques range from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), transactional analysis (TA) solution focus, motivational interviewing, and psychoeducation.

Brenda’s role at CCATS involves providing psychological support for young people and adults who present with a range of difficulties including, self-harm, suicidal ideation, bereavement, domestic abuse, depression, and anxiety, by creating a safe secure space free of judgement.

In addition to her work with CCATS, Brenda is working towards her Level 2 accreditation (APT) in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).

Outside of her role at CCATS, Brenda also works as a school counsellor across the Fylde Coast.
