Laura Muncaster (BSc (Hons) Forensic Psychology, MSc Forensic Psychology) is a Higher Assistant Psychologist at CCATS, and a member of the British Psychological Society.
Laura’s role within CCATS involves completing psychological assessments and therapy with young people and adults, in order to help them to move forward from their experiences, and to choose more helpful behaviours.
Laura has training in the use of multiple different tools in order to assess risk, and to implement interventions including the HCR-20, Life Minus Violence – Enhanced and Live Minus Violence Harmful Sexual Behaviour Version. Laura is currently undergoing training in Level 2 (APT) DBT Therapy, and will soon be completing SVR-20 training.
Laura has previous experience working with high-risk victims of domestic abuse, working within crisis support services and was part of a research consultancy project for children’s homes throughout Blackpool. She has experience of working with adults and children, to help improve their lives. Laura’s work has also been published in the Journal of Sexual Aggression.
