Efi Chatzimagioglou (BSC in Psychology, MSc in Forensic Psychology) is an Assistant Psychologist at CCATS and a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). She is trained in a number of risk and protective factor assessment tools such as the HCR-20 (version 3), SVR-20, SAVRY, SAPROF, and treatment programmes such as the Life Minus Violence-Enhanced and Life Minus Violence-Enhanced Harmful Sexual Behaviour which is a therapeutic package designed to reduce risk of aggression amongst forensic populations.
Her role at CCATS involves providing psychological assessment and therapy informed work with young people and adults who present with a range of difficulties including trauma, self-injury, substance and alcohol use, aggression and harmful sexual behaviour. The role also involves supporting staff to further develop a psychologically informed and trauma informed approach in working with young clients in residential care homes.
Efi has prior experience working with young people and adults and with clients with mental health and personality difficulties in both the community and a medium secure setting. She has experience undertaking psychological and risk assessments, developing formulation of client presentation and risks, providing intervention work on an individual and group basis, as well as supporting staff via reflective practice and training delivery in areas pertinent to the client difficulties.
