Gail Derefaka is a Chartered and Registered Forensic Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She is also a Chartered Scientist and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.
Gail has over fifteen years of working for HM Prison Service. This work has included case management, intervention/assessment, facilitation of psychological interventions, supervision, research and consultancy. In addition to this role she provides advice to crisis incidents when required. Throughout this time she has had experience of working in a group setting and one to one with adolescents, juveniles, young adults and adults (male/female) convicted of sexual and violent offences.
Gail is also completing a PhD at the University of Central Lancashire on risk factors associated with stalking perpetration. She also works part-time as a Lecturer of Forensic Psychology on the Masters course at the University of Central Lancashire.
