Jodie Parkinson is employed as a Forensic Psychologist in Training (FPiT) within CCATS. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Forensic Psychology, an MSc in Forensic Psychology and Mental Health, and a CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice.
Jodie’s primary role within CCATS is to undertake psychological assessments and interventions with both child and adult clients, under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist. She can also offer clinical consultation, reflective practice, and review of critical documentation such as risk assessments and positive behaviour support plans.
Jodie is trained in a number of assessment tools including the WAIS-IV and CASEE, alongside being APT accredited in CBT delivery. Prior to her work at CCATS, Jodie was employed by HM Prison and Probation Service for several years. This involved direct work with adults who presented with a range of complex needs including significant mental health difficulties, aggression, substance misuse problems, learning disabilities, harmful sexual behaviours, and extensive trauma. Her key research interests include intimate partner violence, complex trauma, desistance and resilience.
