Sophie Jones is an assistant psychologist with CCATS and holds degrees in Psychology BSc (honours) and MSc in Investigative Psychology (recognised under Forensic Psychology). She is also a Graduate member of the British Psychological Society and Division of Forensic Psychology.
Sophie has experience in working in community (support worker) and inpatient settings (level 2 Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit) supporting a wide range of mental health difficulties and behaviours that challenge. Sophie is trained in structured professional judgement tools such as HCR-20 V.3 and SAPROF, and has experience in delivering psychological intervention in Compassion Focused Therapy, Substance Misuse and Relapse Prevention, psychoeducation, and DBT principles both within 1:1 and group level intervention.
Within her role with CCATS she is responsible for undertaking psychological assessments, formulations and intervention with young people who may present with a range of issues including trauma, attachment difficulties, harmful sexual behaviours, and other co-morbid mental health difficulties.
